Ca Yun (not her real name) is a courageous young mother who, with her newborn son, is wanting to start a new life.
Ca Yun has been on her own since she was quite young. Her mother had passed away and her father negligent. For the past few years she has been homeless and left to fend for herself on the streets. When she discovered she was pregnant Ca Yun reached out to the Women’s Hope Center for help.
Having overcome the thoughts of suicide and of aborting her baby, Ca Yun initially had made up her mind to give her baby up for adoption, and so, she was referred to an appropriate shelter. However, her heart was moved with strong motherly affection as soon as her son was born and she held him in her arms. She consulted with WHC to ensure that WHC could help her keep her baby. She chose to follow her heart.
Ca Yun is eager to continue her education so that she may gain dignified employment and become economically independent in order to care for her baby. She wants to give her baby boy a warm, loving home - something she never had. Ca Yun now has hope for her future.
Thank you for being a part of forming that hope in her heart.
